Course overview

Who this financial modelling course is built for in 2026

This is an advanced program. We assume you already know Excel, the three financial statements and the idea of a DCF, so every live hour goes into the work that separates a trained analyst from a student: building complete models from a blank sheet, defending a valuation, writing research that holds up, running deal math under pressure, and using AI to do in hours what used to take days.

Every model is built on real Indian listed companies, under Indian accounting standards (Ind AS) and Indian regulation: SEBI, CCI, NCLT and RBI. You leave with nine finished models, a published-quality research report, a pitch book, and two working AI workflows you can show in an interview.

Audience

Who should take this financial modelling course

Built for students and early-career professionals who already know the basics and want interview-ready models — not another theory course.

Who this course is for

  • Final-year B.Com, BBA, BMS and economics students aiming for finance roles
  • MBA (Finance) students preparing for IB, equity research and consulting placements
  • CA, CFA and FRM candidates who want hands-on modelling skill alongside the exam
  • Working professionals (0–5 years) in audit, FP&A, credit, operations or KPO roles moving to front-office finance
  • Founders and startup finance teams who need to model, raise and read a cap table

What you need before Day 1

  • Working Excel: lookups, SUMIFS, basic charts, absolute vs relative references
  • Accounting basics: how the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow link
  • Finance basics: time value of money, NPV/IRR, what WACC represents
  • A laptop with Microsoft Excel (Microsoft 365 recommended)
  • No coding needed. Python is taught AI-assisted from zero

Not sure you're ready? The entrance diagnostic tells you, and the free bridge module closes any gap.

Why this course

Why choose this financial modelling & IB course

The core methods like three-statement models, DCF and LBO still decide who clears a technical interview, so we teach them properly. What we've changed is everything around them: the companies, the sectors, the data and the tools.

Indian companies, Indian rules

Every build uses Indian listed companies and Indian reporting: Ind AS 115 and 116, deferred tax and MAT, SEBI Takeover Code, CCI thresholds, NCLT schemes, RBI capital norms for banks, and CCPS-based startup rounds. No imported US textbook cases.

New-economy businesses

Quick-commerce, platforms and consumer-internet companies are now a big part of Indian listings. You'll model cohorts, CAC/LTV, contribution margins and a path to profitability for loss-making businesses, which older courses don't teach.

A real AI module: 9 hours

Not a one-hour ChatGPT demo. You'll build an automated comps pipeline and a research agent that reads earnings calls and flags variances against your model, and you'll learn where AI goes wrong in finance and how to check it.

Startup & private-market finance

Cap tables from seed to Series C, CCPS conversion, liquidation preferences, ESOP pools, anti-dilution and exit waterfalls. These skills are tested in PE/VC, corporate development and startup finance roles.

Alternative data

UPI volumes, GST data, app metrics, job postings and satellite signals: how analysts now estimate revenue before results are announced, and how to tell a real signal from noise.

One charterholder, every session

All sessions are taught by Deepak Goyal, CFA, Certified FRM. No rotating guest trainers. Small batches of 25 so every model gets reviewed and every question gets answered.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What are the financial modelling course fees in India at RBei?

Fees for this Advanced FM & IB course vary by batch. Enquire on this page or WhatsApp +91 8583905853 for the current fee, GST, EMI options and any scholarship. We publish the exact number for each batch before enrolment.

I'm not sure I know "the basics". Can I still join?

Yes. Take the free entrance diagnostic. If you score below 60%, complete the 8-hour bridge module and retake it. Most students who do the bridge are ready by Day 1.

Is financial modelling worth it for B.Com freshers?

Yes if you want analyst-track roles. This course is advanced: you build nine models on Indian companies and defend a capstone. Freshers who clear the diagnostic (or bridge) leave with templates and a research report they can show in interviews.

Financial modelling vs CFA: which first?

CFA builds theory and credentials; this course builds the models IB and research desks hire for. Many students do both. If you need interview-ready Excel models soon, start with FM. If you want the charter path, start CFA and add FM before placements.

How is this different from a CFA or FRM course?

CFA and FRM build theory and knowledge. This program builds the practical skill of turning that knowledge into working models, valuations and deal analysis. The two complement each other.

Can I get an IB job in India without an MBA?

Yes — many domestic and boutique IB / ER / PE analyst roles hire on modelling skill, not only MBA. Placement is not guaranteed. We provide CV review, mock interviews, a modelling test and referrals where available.

Is this the best financial modelling course in Noida / Delhi NCR?

We teach live online and in our Noida Sector 3 classroom. Batches are capped at 25, every session is taught by Deepak Goyal (CFA, Certified FRM) with ~10 years of investment-banking experience, and every model is reviewed. Compare the syllabus against other courses before you decide.

Is 60 hours enough to learn all this?

It's 60 hours of live teaching with no basics, plus around 45 hours of your own model building. The assignment work is where most of the learning happens, and every model is reviewed.

Do I need to know coding?

No. Python is introduced from zero in Module 8 and written with AI assistance. You'll learn to read, run and adapt scripts, not become a software developer.

Which Excel version do I need?

Microsoft 365 on Windows is best. Older versions and Excel for Mac work for most of the course, but some advanced functions and Power Query features are limited.

What if I miss a session?

Every session is recorded and available on the LMS within 24 hours. You'll still need 75% live attendance for the certificate, and you can bring questions to the doubt-clearing sessions.

Is placement guaranteed?

No, and be careful of anyone who guarantees it. We provide placement assistance: CV and LinkedIn review, mock interviews, a modelling test, and referrals to relevant openings where available.

Can I attend in the classroom?

Yes. Classroom batches run at our Noida Sector 3 centre when enough students enrol. Online and classroom students follow the same curriculum.

Will I keep the models?

Yes. Every completed model is yours to keep as a template, along with notes and recordings for 12 months.

Is the AI content going to be outdated quickly?

AI tools change fast, so we teach durable workflows and verification habits rather than one product. The AI module is updated before every batch.
