Who is Bhavesh Jain?
Bhavesh Jain is a Senior Murex Risk & Datamart SME based in Singapore who earned the
GARP FRM designation in 2026 after coaching with RBei Classes.
His public LinkedIn profile lists him at Luxoft with deep work across market risk, credit risk,
counterparty credit risk, PFE, XVA, collateral, FRTB, VaR reporting and Murex Datamart migrations.
He holds a BTech in Information Technology from MAIET, Jaipur — an IT-to-risk path that is
common among capital-markets systems consultants, and rare among the Part 1 fresher stories
already published on this site.
Designation: Financial Risk Manager (FRM), GARP — Certified in 2026
Role: Senior Murex Risk & Datamart SME
Employer: Luxoft, Singapore
Experience: ~10 years on Murex; ~4 years fully focused on risk
That combination — Singapore-based Murex risk work plus the full FRM credential — is why this
story targets a different search intent than our Part 1 fresher and banker pages: candidates
who already sit inside risk technology and want the charter to move toward tool-independent
risk roles.
How did Bhavesh earn the FRM with RBei Classes?
Bhavesh Jain prepared with RBei Classes and publicly credited Deepak Goyal, CFA & FRM
charterholder, for guidance through a months-long, high-effort journey.
RBei Classes is an FRM and CFA coaching institute founded in 2018; every batch is taught
personally by Deepak Goyal. Bhavesh's story is useful for working professionals abroad because
he cleared the designation while handling Singapore office hours and family responsibilities —
not as a full-time student.
“Journey of months and Tiring days has finally brought me to FRM by Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). Something worth sharing. A heartful thanks to Deepak Goyal, CFA, FRM CEO (RBei) Coach for CFA FRM SCR as well for the Guidance.”

Watch Bhavesh Jain's FRM interview
In this interview with RBei Classes, Bhavesh discusses becoming FRM certified as a
Singapore-based Murex risk professional — including Part 2 difficulty, study hours,
exam-day strategy, and what he would do differently after a failed first attempt.
What the interview covers
Why Part 1 felt easier than Part 2 for an experienced market/credit risk practitioner.
How he balanced 8–9 hour workdays, family, and FRM study in Singapore.
Three concrete mistakes from his first attempt that candidates should avoid.
Whether FRM alone is enough — and why he plans GARP's Risk and AI (RAI) next.
Realistic notes on Singapore EP visas and risk hiring (visa-sensitive, network-driven).
Three FRM mistakes Bhavesh wants other candidates to avoid
These lessons come from Bhavesh's own words in the RBei Classes interview — not generic advice.
He framed them as the mistakes that cost him his first attempt.
1. Vendor book questions alone are not exam-level
Practising only the easier end-of-chapter questions left him underprepared. He describes those
drills as “primary” level while the real paper sits closer to advanced application.
His fix: after finishing a chapter, push further — including using AI tools to generate harder
variants — so you are not surprised by how GARP frames the concept.
2. Treat the official GARP question bank as mandatory
On his first attempt he did not use the GARP question bank that comes with registration.
On the retake he solved it three to four weeks out and used it to expand practice around
weak spots. Structure, numerical style and timing felt familiar once that bank was done.
3. Time management with a three-bucket strategy
He sorts every question into known, unknown, or grey. Finish known items first. Park unknowns
for a late guess. On grey numericals, spend a short fixed window, jot the working on scrap paper
with the question number, then move on — so returning later does not mean restarting from zero.
Ego-solving one hard question for five or ten minutes, he warns, steals marks from questions you already know.
Every figure below is taken from his GARP digital badge, public LinkedIn profile/post, or
statements in the RBei Classes interview. Nothing is estimated.

Key takeaways
Bhavesh Jain, Senior Murex Risk & Datamart SME at Luxoft in Singapore, holds the GARP FRM designation (Certified in 2026) after preparing with RBei Classes.
His result is independently verifiable through the official GARP FRM digital badge, his public LinkedIn post, and his RBei Classes video interview.
He publicly credited Deepak Goyal, CFA & FRM charterholder and CEO of RBei, in a LinkedIn post that drew 132 reactions and 50 comments as at 4 September 2026.
His path is distinct from Part 1 fresher stories: BTech IT (MAIET Jaipur) → decade of Murex work → full FRM while working abroad with family.
His interview gives actionable retake lessons — deepen beyond vendor drills, finish the GARP question bank early, and run a strict three-bucket timing plan.
Can a Murex / risk-technology professional clear the full FRM?
Yes. Bhavesh Jain cleared the full FRM designation while working as a Senior Murex Risk SME
in Singapore after preparing with RBei Classes.
Day-job exposure to market and credit risk helped him on those Part 2 books, but it did not
remove the need for structured coverage of Operational Risk, liquidity topics, and exam-style
practice. Candidates in similar roles should treat job knowledge as a head start — not a substitute
for GARP's syllabus or mocks. See
RBei Classes FRM coaching
for how Part 1 and Part 2 batches are structured for working professionals.
How hard is FRM Part 2 while working full-time?
Hard enough that Bhavesh described Part 2 as lengthier and stricter than Part 1, especially
with office work and family. He estimated six to eight months of Part 2 prep, with the final
three months at about 1.5 hours on weekdays plus multi-hour weekend blocks.
His practical bar for mocks: if you score around 55–60/80 in practice, expect a steeper drop on
exam day — so aim closer to 85–90% in topic drills before sitting. Confirm current exam policies
on the
GARP FRM site.
Frequently asked questions
Is Bhavesh Jain FRM certified?
Yes. Bhavesh Jain holds the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). His official GARP digital badge states Certified in 2026. He prepared with RBei Classes and publicly credited Deepak Goyal, CFA and FRM charterholder.
Which coaching institute did Bhavesh Jain use for FRM?
Bhavesh Jain prepared with RBei Classes. In his public LinkedIn post he thanked Deepak Goyal, CFA, FRM, CEO of RBei and coach for CFA, FRM and SCR, for the guidance.
Can a working professional in Singapore clear the full FRM?
Yes. Bhavesh Jain cleared the FRM designation while working as a Senior Murex Risk & Datamart SME at Luxoft in Singapore, managing office hours of roughly 8–9 hours a day along with family commitments. In his interview he described Part 2 prep of about six to eight months, with at least 1.5 hours on weekdays in the final three months and longer weekend blocks.
What FRM exam mistakes did Bhavesh Jain warn other candidates about?
In his RBei Classes interview he shared three lessons: (1) practising only vendor book questions is not enough — deepen each chapter beyond basic drills; (2) solve the official GARP question bank and mocks three to four weeks before the exam; (3) manage time with a known / unknown / grey-area strategy so one hard question does not consume the paper.
Is FRM Part 2 harder than Part 1 for experienced risk professionals?
For Bhavesh Jain, Part 1 felt easier and Part 2 was tougher — longer, denser, and harder to balance with work and family. He found Operational Risk especially theoretical, while Market and Credit Risk mapped more closely to his Murex day job. See the FRM Part 2 syllabus.
Does FRM alone guarantee a Singapore risk job?
No — and Bhavesh said so clearly. Demand for risk talent in Singapore is real, but Employment Pass outcomes depend on company sponsorship, COMPASS points and whether the role needs a scarce skill. He advises building relevant experience (and network) first rather than treating FRM as a standalone visa ticket. Pair the credential with applied skills; he personally plans further learning toward Risk and AI.
